ABOUT ME
As a coach I spent 10 years working for the Great Britain Cycling Team most recently as the Women's Endurance Podium Coach for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics where the squad won Gold in the Madison & Silver in the Team Pursuit alongside the accompanying European & World Championships.
My coaching experience spans a wide range of ages & stages having started my coaching journey as a youth coach working with regional & national champion Youth A & B riders. Following this I spent 5 years as the National Junior Coach working with athletes who went on to become European & World Champion Juniors before going on to work with our GB Olympic squad. This has given me a fantastic depth of knowledge of what is required to achieve across a wide spectrum of the sport & provided me with an in depth knowledge of the Pathway and in a range of disciplines. Over the years I have worked with many of our high profile British cyclists.
My passion for cycling began at 14 years old starting out on a MTB before moving into Road, Track and various other disciplines. As a junior I was a national medallist but I lacked direction & support hence my move into coaching with a drive to help other athletes achieve their goals within the sport.
I also still love riding my bike alongside working with athletes & take a multi-disciplinary approach to my own riding racing Road, Track, MTB, Cross, Hill Climbs, TTs and pretty much anything I can do!
I returned to road racing in my thirties and for the past few years at UCI level and have raced some top races including Paris Roubaix, Gent Wevelgem & Tour of Flanders. I've had consistent Top 20 results in World Tour Races and understand the requirements on and off the bike of being an athlete. I've also raced extensively on the domestic scene, winning the National Road Series in 2023, podiuming and winning National Road and Crit series events as well as racing TTs and even getting a medal in the National Hill Climb champs.
